More children, more joy: God is good!
So here are the Children of the House of Hope, in order of age.
Jackson is the oldest of our seven children and takes this responsibility very seriously: often acting as a parent to the other children (even when they object!). Jackson was the first child to come to the House of Hope and wants to be a pastor when he grows up.
David was born in 2001 in Kongowea Shauriyako, Mombasa. He came to us on the 18th March 2008. He loves school and is doing well academically. He is a happy child in spite of his past.
Arafat is a quiet boy who generally keeps to himself. He likes playing football and wants to be a professional footballer when he grows up. He speaks Swahili, Duruma and some English.
Ysuf is a lovely boy who enjoys school. His behaviour has significantly improved since arriving at the home and is now a well adjusted, cheerful young man.
Ivy is our youngest child. She is very strong willed and is more than able to keep the others in order. Her birthday is the 4th January 2005 and she came to join us in March 2008. She is as cute as a button!
